Where did you look for reference? What source did you use? Was the research during the planning stages helpful?
I searched up various pictures of forest animals to get a general view on how their look like. I needed to observe the pictures for a long time since I didn't do any project that included as much animals. I just went through several pictures in Google images so I don't necessarily have one source for the pictures. Yes it was because I never drew so much animals in one project and observing real-life pictures of different forest animals allowed me to have a general understanding of how they look like.
Application:
What skill did you use to complete this project? How good do you feel like your craftsmanship was for this project?
I used pencil drawing (for the outlines of the animals) and watercolor painting (bringing color into the animals and the background). I think that the craftsmanship was adequate except I used too much water that the paper is crumpled and unbalanced in some places.
Connection & Synthesis:
Was this a creative project or a craft? Did you encounter a mistake that you had to fix? What did you do? Did you need to do any problem-solving?
This was a creative project. I encountered several mistakes where I used too much water or unintentionally spilled some paint to white places. I solved these problems by dabbing away the water and repainting, and colored over the mistakes that I made.
Approach:
How do you feel about your time-management? Did you make good progress? Was this project boring or engaging?
I think I had a pretty good time-management and was able to finish my project in time with adequate quality. Even though I dragged down for a few classes, I was still able to put in enough effort to finish my project faster than others. This project was extremely engaging at first because I never did anything like this before. However, after some classes, it started to get boring, but that's mainly because of the pace I work, which is really slow.
Communication:
What do you hope the viewer will notice first when they look at your work? Does your work communicate the message you were hoping for? Was there something special that helped you reach that goal? Did you need help?
I wish that the view will notice the baby right away since it's the main point in the story within my project. My work does communicate a generally view of forest animals, but does not specifically have a deep story behind it. There wasn't anything special except I just struggled with using the right colors for the right animals. I didn't need any help in making my work
