Clay Tea Set
The Clay Tea Set project was, generally, extremely entertaining to during the entire three (?) weeks because even though I made clay cups every year in art, I had more freedom in what I wanted to do with the shape and colors this year and learned how to make a successful teapot as well.
The most difficult part was making the cups with clay because I had to be careful with how thick, thin, and smooth parts of my cups and pot were. The easiest was creating the design of my tea set because I already had a clear idea about how I was going to make my tea set. Even though I am generally proud of the product with all four cups and one teapot, one part that's disappoints me is how the teapot is olive-green color. I had an idea about how the color would look like and decided to glaze my cups and teapots with that specific color, but it looks much worse than what I predicted and when I saw how it looked like, I could see that that color pretty much messed up the general green look of my entire tea set. |
